R. George Rohrbacher

R. George Rohrbacher, age 85 of Janesville, WI died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Cedar Crest Health Center. He was born on June 12, 1932 in Sheboygan, WI, the son of George Joseph and Aura E. (Maislein) Rohrbacher. He graduated from Milton College in 1955. He married Joyce Mickelson on July 1, 1956 at Faith Lutheran Church in South Beloit, IL. George was employed by Commercial Credit for 5 years and then went to work for Parker Pen Company in Janesville where he was employed for 32 years retiring as credit manager. He is a past member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club, served for many years on the board of directors of Parker Community Credit Union, was active at the Janesville Senior Center and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels and the Red Cross Blood Bank. George was an avid Green Bay Packers fan since the age of 8.
George’s survivors includes his wife, Joyce Rohrbacher, 1 daughter, Debra (Stephen) Ledsham of Woodinville, WA, 1 son, James Rohrbacher of Chicago, IL and 3 granddaughters, Rebecca, Emma and Abigail. His parents preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at Cargill United Methodist Church, 2000 Wesley Avenue, Janesville at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017. Rev. Stuart Allen will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Crest, Agrace Hospice or Cargill United Methodist Church. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
